In Work offers a number of services to business including the following:
Skilled Worker placement – Overseas Skilled Workers
Working in conjunction with sister company In Work International, In Work is able to place skilled, experienced workers into Australian Businesses using a number of different visa options.
Trade Entry – Australian School Based Apprenticeships (Direct Placement)
In Work is able to place Trainees still attending school into “Australian School Based Apprenticeships” either by attending a Trade Entry Course or directly into industry placement. School based apprentices placed directly into the industry complete a 2 day industry trial placement.
Trade Entry Training
Trainees in this category have no certificates relating to the industry they wish to enter into. They may have a little work experience. Trainees are placed in a 20 day Industry Placement where they work for 20 days or 20 shifts unpaid as part of their training. A trainer from a registered training organisation visits Trainees onsite and completes several basic units of competence with the trainee. On successful completion and if all parties agree, trainees are then signed into an apprenticeship or traineeship.
Trade Entry Course
Trainees in this category attend an official ‘traditional style’ course. They then go on to complete 5 day industry placement before being signed into an apprenticeship or traineeship.
Trade Entry Placement
Trainees applying under this category must have completed a Certificate II in the industry in which they would like to gain an apprenticeship. Applicants could also be displaced apprentices looking to continue their career. They do not receive any formal training (as this has already been completed) but are placed into an Industry Placement or “TRY BEFORE YOU BUY PERIOD” to ensure all parties are suited. During this placement applicants are paid at casual employee rates. Applicants are then signed into an apprenticeship or traineeship.
Guarantee
Trade Entry Services are “fee-for-service” available to anyone who is assessed as being suitable by In Work. All “Trade Entry” services carry a guaranteed apprenticeship/traineeship outcome.
This guarantee is subject to successful completion of both the formal training and industry placement as assessed by the trainer and workplace supervisor.
